Highlights from the Annual Leadership Meeting in Las Vegas

Our 2018 Annual Leadership Meeting in Las Vegas was a tremendous success. We had an amazing lineup of distinguished government officials and policy experts including: Governors Pete Ricketts (NE), Rick Scott (FL), Eric Greitens (MO), and Scott Walker (WI); Senator Lindsey Graham (SC); House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy (CA); Representatives Mike Gallagher (WI), Joe Wilson (SC), Lee Zeldin (NY), and Mia Love (UT); former U.S. Ambassador to the UN John Bolton, Israel’s Ambassador to the UN Danny Danon, and Israeli Ambassador to the U.S. Ron Dermer; Shurat HaDin’s Nitsana Darshan-Leitner; pollster Frank Luntz; Republican grassroots organizers Charlie Kirk and Morgan Ortagus; Anthony Scaramucci; and Ze’ev Orenstein of the City of David Foundation.

The program included a gala dinner at which the RJC honored Stuart and Robbi Force, the parents of Taylor Force, and Israeli Security Minister Gilad Erdan. RJC Leader Steven Mizel presented the Defender of Freedom and Security Award to Micah Avni in memory of his father, Richard Lakin, an activist for justice and peace who was killed by terrorists in 2015, and to former Knesset member Shakib Shanan in memory of his son, Israeli policeman Kamil Shanan, who was murdered while protecting the Temple Mount in Jerusalem in 2017.

Next year, the Annual Leadership Meeting in Las Vegas will be held April 5-7, 2019.
